Morgenthaler’s feature debut, following a former priest as he takes bloody revenge against those that he deems responsible for the premature death of his porn star sister, whilst also attempting to raise her orphaned five-year-old daughter, is a rather distasteful and repellent experience that, despite being tremendously well made, is one that I would, if such a thing were possible, happily wipe from my memory.
