Subjectivity

Of course, all criticism is subjective. To think otherwise would be pathological. And one writes under the assumption that everyone is aware of this. My writing may give the appearance of objectivity, of being absolute, but that is merely out of necessity. A reviewer, a critic must write with authority; they must convince the reader of their conviction. And of course, the alternative would be quite impractical. Each review filled with: I thinks, I believes, in my opinions, and I could be wrongs. Quite quite silly! So, please take no offence if I denigrate a favourite work of yours. There is no offence intended; these are but my humble opinions.
