Stephen Poliakoff’s (relatively) mildly disappointing if, nevertheless, entertaining mini-series, revolving around a family reunion at a swanky London hotel, is an unalloyed celebration of the joys of storytelling, but it is unfortunately marred by occasionally feeling like it has been dumbed down for a mass audience.
